Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society of Zimbabwe

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology involves the study and applications of the chemistry and molecular organ in living organisms. The Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society of Zimbabwe (BMBSZ) formerly known as (The Biochemistry Society of Zimbabwe) is a professional society, which was founded in 1986 and is affiliated to the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) and is also a founder member of the Federation of African Societies of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (FASBMB).

The Aims of the Society are:
1. To facilitate and encourage the assemblage of scientists and industrialists engaged in research and application Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and related disciplines
2. To promote public awareness of biochemical sciences and their social and environmental applications.
3. To promote education and training in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
4. To Promote research and training programmes for member of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Societies, associations and related grouping inside and outside in collaboration with pertinent international and national bodies.
